CDS ARMS / FREEDOM SECURITY was born as the result of a lifelong passion for firearms and shooting sports. We saw a noticeable void in the customer service, selection and knowledge offered by the big box stores and ‘old school’ gun shops, so we decided it was time to take action. Early on we started selling parts and accessories without a name, but that just wasn’t good enough! Despite political & market uncertainty, extensive licensing & compliance, and other barriers of entry, CDS ARMS, LLC was founded in 2011 by Owner & Armorer, Cory Sementuh. In 2020 we added the Freedom Security branding to enhance our product and service offerings.

The team consists of Cory and several affiliate armorers, gunsmiths, fabricators and instructors sharing the common goal to challenge a traditional gun shop. Since the beginning we have continued to grow each year serving thousands of happy and satisfied customers around the Pittsburgh, PA area and across the country. When you contact CDS ARMS you will receive a personal, knowledgeable reply, not a script from some worker in a call center on the other side of the globe. When we build your firearm you will receive a finished product with superior attention to detail and functionality.
